About Us

Mountain View Yoga is committed to helping you find inner stillness in a world that often moves too fast.

Our Story

Located in the stunning Snowy Mountains of Jindabyne, NSW, Mountain View Yoga is a sanctuary where the journey inward begins. Founded by a dedicated yogi who has completed 200 hours of Tantric Hatha training, in addition of further training in Vinyasa, Yin, and Sound Healing adds depth to our offerings.

Mountain View Yoga is committed to helping you find inner stillness in a world that often moves too fast.

Our founder’s personal experience of finding healing through yoga—both mentally and physically—drives our mission to guide others on their own paths to peace. We offer a range of classes, including Vinyasa, Yin, and Sound Healing, all designed to help you connect deeply with your breath and body.

In addition to regular classes, we are passionate about hosting retreats that foster deep connections, both among participants and between teacher and students. These retreats are more than just a getaway—they’re a space for growth, healing, and lifelong friendships.

Mountain View Yoga is also proud to be part of the Alpine Yoga Studio community in Jindabyne, a collective of skilled teachers offering Hatha, Vinyasa, Yin, and Sound Healing, along with various workshops for both locals and travelers.

We also offer private sessions, whether one-on-one or for groups, tailored to your specific needs. Join us to breathe, move, and find your own path to stillness.

About Donna

Donna has been a dedicated student of yoga since 2017, embarking on her journey following a major health crisis. This transformative experience taught her the profound importance of stillness, flexibility, and strength. Inspired by the life-changing impact of yoga, Donna pursued her passion further, becoming a teacher to share the benefits of yoga with her community.
She completed her 200-hour Tantric Hatha Yoga training in the beautiful Snowy Mountains of Jindabyne. Donna expanded her expertise by training in Vinyasa with Carlotta Castangia’s yoga school, and in Yin Yoga with Chris Walker in Bali. Additionally, she completed Sound Healing and Crystal Bowl training (Level 1 and Level 2) with Soundzenergy under the guidance of Komal in Bali, Indonesia.
Donna’s teaching is deeply influenced by her inspirational mentors: Sue Orrego from Modern Organic on the Central Coast, NSW; Chris Walker from Ubud, Bali; and Carlotta Castangia from Canggu, Bali. Her classes focus on breath work, strength, balance, and creative flow, providing students with the tools to integrate their practice into daily life. Donna’s approach leaves her students with clarity of intention, a sense of calm, and inner peace.
With 18 years of experience running a customer-focused business, Donna brings those same values of professionalism and care to her yoga teaching, ensuring that each student feels supported on their journey.

Upcoming classes

at Alpine Yoga

Vinyasa

A dynamic, moving meditation. This style of yoga combines core-held postures with a rhythmic flow, all while maintaining mental focus and awareness of your breath. Vinyasa generates heat in the body, increases circulation, and enhances your body’s natural cleansing processes. It builds strength and flexibility, benefiting every system within the body. The seamless connection between breath and movement in this class helps you build a sweat while grounding your mind.

Wed 4th December  - 5.30pm
Wed 11th December  - 5:30pm

Yin

Yin is a gentle, passive style of yoga that targets the subtle energetic body and the connective tissues—fascia, tendons, ligaments, and deeper areas of the joints—allowing for more space and freedom within. Yin postures are held for several minutes to effectively activate the meridian lines, increasing the flow of energy throughout the body. This practice supports the health and well-being of specific organs and bodily systems. Yin Yoga invites you to explore your edge, using the breath as a tool to go deeper and find a new sense of ease.

Sun 1st Dec  - 5pm
Sun 8th  Dec  - 5pm

Hatha / Flow

A magical combination of breath and movement, uniting mind, body, and spirit. Strengthens muscles, improves balance and flexibility, and emphasises mindfulness, breath, posture, and meditation. Flowing through movement, you’ll leave the class feeling open, refreshed, and relaxed, with benefits for both your physical and mental health.
